Seems like a well built product.  My hinges go right up against the edge of my fenders so there is no spinning some people complained about.  My two issues are there seems to be a good bit of tension on the hood when I go to close it coz I see it flex alil back at the hinges and I bought the elite system which is supposed to slow the rate of opening near the end and it sure as hell does not do that, they open quick and fast, simple as that, they actually seemed almost backwards they open slowly but once they are in motion they don't stop till they bottom out. Not sure if I'm crazy about that.

My original order was mishandled by USPS, Brian responded to my email and had a replacement to me immediately. With customer service like this, why would you shop any place else for you lift needs.

These are very easy to install. It took about 15 minutes and now I can just open my hood without using the prop rod. It also moves the prop rod out of my way when working under the hood.

Would definitely recommend to anyone using a prop rod.

The shipment arrived in a timely fashon.
Using a video available from the cjpony site I installed the lifts successfully.
Not sure why the referenced video from the red line tuning site was unavailable.
All else went well.

I'm very pleased with my hood quicklift system.
Absolutly usefull for me : not at all !
Just a little pleasure, from time'to'time has no price (oh yes, it has a price. Especially when you leave in France, with taxes and taxes on taxes)
But let's go back to product : quality is good, I recommand them.

3 of 5 Fender bracket design needs work July 24, 2016

The strut construction itself looks great.  My only complaint is with the fender brackets.  No matter how much I tightened the bolt to hold the bracket in place.  The strut, when closing, pushes the bracket to rotate into the fender, marring it.

I bought my 2013 Focus hood strut system here. It arrived quickly 3 days by Friday. I installed them within 20 minutes watching Youtube video, instead of instructions. And strut works great!
