Unfortunately, the package was not turned over to UPS until I contacted customer service asking for an update one week after I was notified by Redline Tuning that the package had shipped - and that original notification included the UPS tracking number.
I was a bit nervous that I had received defective parts as I was unable to compress the struts at all prior to installation and there was no indication in the instructions whether this was normal or not. In fact, had I not been able to lift my hood several inches higher than normal, there would have been no way to mount the struts to the mounting hardware. I did have to move two doodads under the hood to make room for the struts throughout their movement path.
However, once installed, the struts worked better than I could have imagined. And the placement is perfect in that I can still prop the hood with the stock prop rod for added safety while working in the engine bay.
