I love these gas hood struts. I absolutely HATE the prop rod. Subaru needs to stop cutting cost & give the consumers what they want. Thanks Redline Tuning. Great product.

Excellent product and it was super easy to install. Took me about 20 min with all my tools already set aside. Holds the hood up well, considering I also have solar panels on there. Very pleased with my purchase.

So very happy to have found these thanks to another Outback wilderness owner. Hood props are stupid. In fact forgot that I even had one and closed my hood with the prop still in place bent like a wet noodle. A want turned into a Necessity so made the purchase.

Easy install with the correct tools, well written directions and no issues what so ever. Also, opted for the CF finish and am not disappointed.

Subaru made a big step backwards by removing the gas hood shocks from 2020+ Outbacks and Legacys. This set was an easy remedy to Subaru's short sidedness. They installed easily using the clear instructions. My only nit-pick is that only the minimum number of rivets is included. From experience, I knew that one or more rivets would be destroyed during installation.

Clear directions & easy to install.
Now I don’t have to worry about my hood being open with support on only one side .
The pop rivets are heavy duty and hold fast .
My only suggestion is put a thin rubber gasket in the kit to go between the bracket in the hood.
I added this myself and will prevent metal to metal contact.

Installation was pretty smooth, best if have second person when it is time to install rivets. Definitely order rivet gun at time of purchase.
