This QuickLIFT ELITE System fits the following Ford Mustang Fox-Body & half of the SN95 Mustang model years: 1979 1980 1981 1982 1983 1984 1985 1986 1987 1988 1989 1990 1991 1992 1993 1994 1995 1996 1997 1998. Also fits the 1979-1986 Mercury Capri.
This system is designed to work with nearly EVERY stock and aftermarket hood out there. We have been selling this system for nearly 2 decades and are well-known for our hood QuickLIFT applications. This system uses a special rivet to attach the hood brackets - it will bind the bracket to any material from any aftermarket hood out there. As long as the hood has copied the stock hood's understructure or frame (common), our hood brackets then rivet into place and will not hurt your hood. With the mounting locations we use, our system uses very low force gas springs which put very little stress on both the hood and fender, yet lift and hold the hood open securely.

Some mounting hardware included in the system requires use of special multi-grip rivets (included) to attach ball stud brackets (drilling is required). First, we zinc plate all steel-mounting hardware, then each bracket is also black powder-coated for the ultimate in corrosion protection. QuickLIFT ELITE includes 316L stainless steel gas springs. There is a five-year warranty on all QuickLIFT ELITE components.
✔ STAINLESS STEEL GAS SPRINGS - The gas springs used in our ELITE series are 316L Stainless steel (brushed silver in color). The end fittings used are designed specifically for each application. Gas spring orientation is always body end up (large tube attaching to hood) and extending rod attaching to lower ball stud.
